Cream cheese with tomatoes and basil

Cream cheese with tomatoes and basil

This is the cream cheese – with the familiar milky-sour taste, sour cream aroma and buttery texture. We’ve always wanted to create a real, delicious cream cheese. We spent a long time searching for the right recipe and developing the craftsmanship to get the desired smoothness, texture and flavor. We succeeded in making the traditional cream cheese that our older relatives may remember. The one with the slight yogurt-like taste, creamy flavor and velvety buttery texture. Then we added tomatoes, basil and a little garlic. And the taste became incredible and unforgettable.

Qualities

Aroma milky, soft hint of basil
Taste authentic, slightly sour
Appearance a packet of sour cream, to be used as a spread
Storage in a fridge, temperature between 2-4 degrees

What's in it

Organic milk from the Troyan area, organic sour cream, starter, salt, organic basil and garlic, organic raw cane sugar, organic natural thickener: guar gum and locust bean flour.

How's it made

The first law of a successful recipe is using quality ingredients. Equally important is the cooking technology. To get that light milk flavor and fluffiness, the cheese is slowly strained with a very fine strainer. The butter starter is traditional, and the straining is done at a slow temperature so that it can be as natural as possible. Then we add the spices – tomatoes, basil and garlic. Ready to be eaten!
