Here is a question. But please, honest! Do you share your chocolate with others? Or you can’t help but eat it on your own? Munching on it quickly for colleagues might notice it? Or at night, just after the kids have gone to bed?

If you feel like keeping chocolate to yourself, harmonica milk biotic+ craft chocolate gives you another billion of reasons to avoid sharing. Because in every package of 55 grams, we’ve added a billion probiotic cultures from four (!) different strains: Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Lactobacillus gasseri.

Probiotics are “living” good bacteria with a wholesome effect on the body. These particular four strains strengthen and stimulate the immune system; restore the beneficial gut microflora; return the processes running in the gastrointestinal tract to normal. All this leads to an improved state of health and a whole different state of mind.

Organic and hand-crafted by Maria and her artistic French husband Vincent in their little family chocolate factory Gaillot, our biotic+ milk chocolate is free of emulsifiers or additives, as we believe true chocolate should be.

But as we all know, there is a catch in every fairy tale… The foil this indulgence is wrapped in, rustles so treacherously while opening, you might attract too much unwanted attention… Just be careful!

Why are probiotics important?

There are more than 500 different types of bacteria living in our digestive system. Here are the three main groups:
• Pathogenic (causing diseases)
• Potentially pathogenic (might turn into pathogenic under certain circumstances)
• Beneficial (having a positive effect)
The proper functioning of our digestive and immune system depends on the ratio between good and bad bacteria. Stress, irregular diet, antibiotics, lack of sleep are some of the many situations that cause the decrease of good bacteria. Probiotics help their development and keep our bodies balanced. So take them regularly and trust your gut!

What's in it

Organic cane sugar, organic cocoa butter (28%), organic cocoa beans (15%), organic skimmed milk powder (10%), organic whole milk powder (9%), organic Bourbon vanilla (0.04%), 4 special probiotic strains for more goodness:

  • Lactobacillus plantarum
  • Lactobacillus gasseri
  • Lactobacillus bulgaricus
  • Bifidobacterium longum

No lecithins.

May contain traces of penuts and nuts.

How it's made

Gaillot chocolate makers carefully select the raw cocoa beans and only choose the best. Then they are roasted, crushed and ground slowly for whole three days, adding sugar and dry milk at some point. Another three days later, the chocolate is poured into huge shapes, where it ages from 10 and 20 days to balance its taste and aroma. Next, the chocolate is melt at about 43 degrees C and filled in forms using a vibration table to remove the air. Once the chocolate cools down, the probiotics are added. Finally, it is wrapped manually.
