Wholegrain Tahini

Wholegrain Tahini

Our wholegrain tahini is made of organically grown sesame seeds only. It is produced in the same way as in a recipe transcribed in an anonymous 13th-century Arabic cookbook, Kitab Wasf al-Atima al-Mutada – by grinding the seeds between two stones. Its nutritious benefits have been known in our lands since forever and any household that’s serious about good food is bound to keep a jar of  it in the pantry.

Taste characteristic of the sesame seeds
Appearance spread
Storage at room temperature

What's in it

Tahini is an excellent source of copper, manganese and the amino acid methionine. Also listed as a source of the healthy fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6, along with lots of proteins and potassium. Once you open it, you will see some oil floating on top of the tahini - don't worry, it is a clear sign that this is a high quality tahini.

How's it made

We bake the seeds. When they are cool enough, we grind them in a stone mill. Then we fill in the jars with the creamy tahini.
