Shakshuka

We would love to make a promotion campaign for shakshuka in Bulgaria. The dish is as simple to cook as it is delicious to taste. Serve it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Not only is it made of simple everyday ingredients that are affordable, but it is easy to prepare even if you aren’t an experienced cook. And it’s super delicious.

Ingredients::
1 jar of roasted red peppers
1 can of whole peeled tomatoes
1 onion
2 garlic cloves
5-6 eggs
50 g cheese
2 t.spn. butter
Salt, pepper, parsley
Clean and finely chop the onion. In a skillet, heat the butter and stew the onion and garlic until they’ve become soft and slightly caramelized. Then add the minced roasted peppers and stir for 5 minutes. Pour in the tomatoes next, and mix them well with onion and peppers. Add some salt and pepper. Let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
Finely chop the parsley and sprinkle on top. Arrange 5-6 pieces of cheese in the mix and break eggs in between them. Salt them and cover the dish with a lid. Cook the eggs soft or hard boiled, depending on your taste.
Serve the shakshuka hot. This dish loves spicy seasoning, as well as sourdough or Arabic pita bread.
