Biscuits with tahini and plums

The combination of our flavorful wholegrain tahini with the natural sugars from the prunes make these biscuits taste divine and highly addictive.

Quite often we all crave something sweet and grab the closest pack of cookies, eat half of it and an immediate guilt kicks in. But who said that that always has to be the case when we satisfy our sugary cravings? Inspired by this we came up with this delicious recipe for biscuits that are not only refined sugar free but are also made with simple and healthy ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry. The combination of our flavorful wholegrain tahini with the natural sugars from the prunes make these biscuits taste divine and highly addictive. We warn you once you have tried this recipe you will most probably find it hard to find anything equally as good in store.

Ingridients:
100 g wholegrain tahini
60 g of agave syrup
50 g of coconut oil
½ tea cup of flour (white and spruce)
½ tsp soda
8 prunes
To make the biscuits you need to start by placing the tahini in a bowl and stir it with the melted coconut oil and agave syrup. In a separate bowl mix the flour with the baking soda. Afterwards gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet by constantly stirring to prevent any lumps. When a nice dough starts to form, transfer it on the countertop and knead until it forms a nice thick ball. If it is too soft, add some more flour until it stops sticking.
Then cut the plums into halves. Divide the dough into 16 pieces and form them into 16 tiny small disks. In the center of each disk place half of a plum and wrap it in the dough to form a ball. When you have used up all your dough, place the biscuits on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated to 180 C oven for 10-12 minutes. When ready, take the biscuits out of the oven and let them cool down before watching how quickly they will be demolished.
