Yvon Chouinard

Last summer we had an unexpected guest – we met Vincent Stanley from Patagonia. He was in Sofia to present his book „The Responsible Company„, which he wrote together with Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard.

Way back since Gorichka first published the translation in Bulgaria of Chouinard’s „Let my people go surfing“, he has always been a great support and inspiration for everything we do in harmonica. Our Metodi has a copy of the book that he carries everywhere with him. It’s a little worn-out and heavily highlighted. After the book presentation we invited Vincent and his wife for dinner and told them the story of how much we learned and got inspired by Patagonia. Of course, Meto showed them his copy of „Let my people go surfing“. Vincent took the book and we got it back two weeks later with a dedication by Yvon Chouinard himself.

The message was short, yet motivational:

„To Methodi, keep it organic and keep it simple and let’s start the revolution!“

Let’s start.

Here’s how the original dedication looks like.
A letter from Yvon Chouinard that we received together with the signed book. „You are doing wonderful work with Harmonica.“
"Keep it organic and keep it simple and let's start the revolution!"
