White Tahini

Perfectly silky texture and a pleasant flavor profile. The result from a recipe we discovered in a 13th-century Arabic cookbook.

The only difference between the white and the wholegrain tahini is that for this one we use hulled sesame seeds . The production methods and the wholesome benefits are very much the same. We make the white tahini to the original recipe transcribed in an anonymous 13th-century Arabic cookbook, Kitab Wasf al-Atima al-Mutada – by grinding the sesame. Its nutritious benefits have been known in our lands since forever and any household that’s serious about good food is bound to keep a jar of it in the pantry.

What's in it

Tahini is an excellent source of copper, manganese and the amino acid methionine. Also listed as a source of the healthy fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6, along with lots of proteins and potassium. Once you open it, you will see some oil floating on top of the tahini - don't worry, it is a clear sign that this is a high quality tahini.

How's it made

We bake the seeds. When they are cool enough, we grind them well. Then we fill in the jars with the creamy tahini.
