Tahini is a delicious and useful food, known for centuries and especially popular in the East, and recently increasingly appreciated in our country. Sesame tahini is a paste of ground sesame seeds, which can be eaten both directly (most often in combination with honey, flaxseed or yoghurt) and can be used in various sweet or savoury dishes.

Wholegrain sesame tahini is made from the whole seed, together with the husk, and is considered to be more beneficial and rich in valuable nutrients and minerals. However, it is more bitter to the taste, while white tahini, which is made from peeled sesame seeds, is more pleasant to the taste.

Sesame is a source of calcium, magnesium, copper, phosphorus, selenium, iron and zinc. It is rich in Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. Experts recommend regular consumption of tahini for people with bone and joint diseases, cardiovascular and stomach problems, active sports and many others. One tablespoon a day is enough.
